What does being a Hostboard member have to do with the right to interfere with ANYone's auction, Alex?
Whether or not the information was updated on Hostboard is irrevelent since Matt DID update the information regarding the camera when he said it worked correctly on the ebay ad. Did you simply not believe him? Is it not "official" unless he posts on Hostboard, a year after the fact, "By the way, I tested this camera and it works fine now". It's not up to YOU as to whether something has been updated to your satisfaction.
He posted on the ebay ad that it worked fine. That's all that mattered. It didn't concern you as anything that happens on ebay is between the involved parties and that leaves you OUT.
Even IF you felt justified in suspecting that Matt's camera wasn't working correctly, you had NO right intefering wtih Matt's auction. You aren't the Ebay Police. But the fact is that he specifically stated that it worked just fine and you blatantly attempted to imply that the camera did not. So the whole issue about him not updating his Hostboard post about his camera is nothing but a smoke screen here. He made it clear to the bidders that it worked just fine. You ignored that information and blatantly attempted to convince the bidders otherwise by sending them an outdated link to an old post. If you believed his information, then you would not have sent the link to the bidders. You basically called Matt a liar and cost him money in the process. The fact that you won't admit to it makes you as unethical as they come.
Once again, why did you interfere with Matt's ebay auction?
